They're Called The Gaystapo For A Reason

Annnnd just like that, another deranged right-wing conspiracy theory turns out to be..... completely true.

We were right and the left wasn't just wrong, they lied about it for nearly two years.

You can't call it unprecedented. It's not even unprecedented in West Yorkshire.

Still, you have to give the spineless weasels in local government this much: we're not talking about people who take criticism well.

Yes, indeed. Compare them to Nazis and they'll demand you are swept away as though by a purifying wind.

Hey, you know what would make people think better of the Pink Mafia? If they were as outraged at people who let a child die as they are at someone mocking the Holy Month of Pink.

Anyone think we should 'investigate' the Do Nothing Squad? Anyone at all?

And so again we're back to one of my favourite themes: why is the British right so spineless? The left got massive mileage out of pushing the whole 'paedo priests' thing, now we have the anti-matter version of this with the same kind of cover ups and wilful blindness in the left's own priesthood, but the cucks think it's a losing issue.

Huh?

This is our alleged professional conservative genius set: people who are worried about losing votes by being too hard on organisations that cover up paedophilia. To state their position clearly is to refute it, but apparently we're the crazy ones.

The Only Rule Liberals Ever Recognise Is 'Who? Whom?'

Julia brings us up to the speed on the left's ongoing search for Baby Seals.

Disappointingly, it appears that St Edson, the martyr of Newham, had a number of packages in his throat when he died, and not in an Elton John kind of way (no doubt, the Guardian is planning to print a retraction any time now).

Still, as one door closes, another fire door opens and noted pyrotechnic expert David Lammy is going through Grenfell Towers conspiracy theories like Henry VIII went through wives.

Or maybe that was his successor, Henry VII?

Who knows? Not Dave, that's for sure! But you should totally trust him when he talks about burning times, flashover points and other things he saw on CSI Miami.

Still, that leaves open the wider point: Dave's meta conspiracy theory, his Protocols of the Learned Elders of the Tory Party, as it were, is that the Government is lying about the death toll to prevent a riot.

Never mind the absurdity of the charge, just think about the humbuggery of it. The left just got through claiming that you're not allowed to say our border security does a worse job than David Lammy's history teacher, otherwise you might make someone run over Muslims a year later, but now they're claiming to be outrageously outraged that the Government is supposedly withholding information to try and avoid a riot.

Hey, there's nothing theoretical about mob violence around Grenfell, but the same people who create Kennedy Assassination theories to explain why Nigel Farage should never be allowed to speak in public again are suddenly reborn as flinty crusaders for the public's right to know, and damn the torpedoes!

Bold Attenpt To Improve Local Government Fails

Hey, at least we'd finally have one who didn't take more backhanders than Andy Murray.

Actually, my favourite bit is the line about the police seizing the mannequin. Yes, indeed: I think we all feel much safer knowing there's one less plastic representation of the human form out there on our streets.

(Culture) War Is The Answer

There is no better example of the eclipse of the traditional left by liberalism than the sight of Labour councils slashing services to protect non-jobs for their cronies.

If nothing else, it certainly undermines anything Special Ed may say about the supposed greed of the right. But don't except The Dave to make that point. In fact, don't expect him to say anything much at all. It's noticeable that pretty much all the running on exposing labour sleaze has been made by people outside the Tory Party.

No doubt the usual suspects will claim that this was all part of The Dave's brilliant plan, but they won't be able to explain just how this all fits in with Cameronism in the first place. After all, Dave was hailed as a Certified Super Genius for throwing ideology under the bus in favour of touchy-feely, bipartisan consensus. Conviction politics was out, to be replaced by a bold new era of European-style politics where the public had the choice of a left of right of centre party and a right of left of centre one.

Now it turns out that - in a twist obvious to everyone except Professional Conservatives - the left's definition of 'bipartisan' means conservatives agreeing with everything they say. Otherwise all bets are off, hence why Labour councils are passing scorched earth budgets and leftists are explaining that rioting is just a particularly vigorous form of debate.

It turns out that the World's Smartest Man bought a bottle of mineral water to a gun fight. What middle ground are we meant to find exactly with people who deliberately slash services to the vulnerable in an attempt to protect six figure salaries for bureaucrats? Or who claim trying to kill a police officer is just youthful exuberance?

These are the people the conservative movement is meant to be taking on. If they weren't upset, that'd be a real problem. Meanwhile, our allegedly conservative PM is still enraged that somewhere in Britain there are people who don't think the EU is all that.

Anti-Social Behaviour Is A Fraud

NNW runs the latest from Alan Johnson through the liberal - English translator. Read, enjoy and think what it says about the MSM that Postman Pat is being put forward as an example of a politician who can pass as human.

It's always good to remind people that this is exactly the kind of case that the left said never happens. Like I keep saying, if liberals ever denounce vampires as a right-wing myth, start laying in the wooden stakes. Now we have on record just how liberals deal with thugs:
The parents from all five families received a letter warning that further action would be taken unless the behaviour ceased. While four families replied to the letter and were seen by the council officer, only the one family, who cannot be named, was believed to have “torn up” the letter and was never visited, Mr Grantham said.
Yes, the 'tearing up letters' gambit. If only Ronnie Biggs had thought of that.

Still, there is a land mine lurking under the right's position. When we accept slippery euphemisms like 'anti-social behaviour', we're implicitly accepting the left's view that, sure violent thuggery is kind of bad and all, but there's no need to use negative labels like 'criminal' and hey, can't we all just get a along?

What we're talking about is a police force turning a blind eye to persistent, violent criminality and a left that supports them in doing so, and for that their collective feet should be held to the fire.

Slow Unwinding of British Civilisation Continues

Boss giving you a hard time at work? Call the cops!

Yes, indeed, they may not have known he was the boss, they might have thought he was just a paying customer, annoyed at being kept waiting while they sat around. Hmmmm... in sane countries that's not really much of an excuse.

Hey, say what you like about lawyers, but in twelve years they've managed to bring back all the problems of unionisation without any of the advantages. The reason these folks can behave like they do is because they know that sacking anyone is a legal minefield. Management doesn't run companies any more, they just act as liaison with the government - y'know, the body that hires people who can explain with a straight face how they did a great job except for the whole 'deaths' thing.

More Supporting-Of-The-Troopyness

If a spate of robberies mean liberals want to ban manikins in military uniform, banning the burkha should be a cinch, right? After all, I'm pretty sure the bank robberies weren't committed by 2 Para, whereas the Islamic connection to violence is a little more, ahhh, direct.

Actually, the real question is raised by this:
But an officer from Bolton Council has written to Mr Shahabi and threatened him with a fine if he does not move the doll.
Say what? I admit I haven't kept up with our ever-evolving legal system, but absent the passage of the Military Manikins Act of 2009, I'm wondering what statute the council are intending to use to enforce this fine. Well, that and wondering what exactly is the moral difference between council officials citing bogus laws to shakedown anyone who doesn't share their pathological hatred of real public servants, and private sector protection rackets.

Seems to me that if people are freaking out over a dummy, they're the ones with a problem - although, come to think of it, this is the perfect example of the liberal thought process: there's a spate of robberies, so the council wants to fine a shopkeeper. Of course!

Maybe he should claim society made him put the dummy up? Either that, or replace it with a dummy in a gimp suit, in which case the council would no doubt be vigorously harassing the complainants.

Best Talibin Story Evah?

It's for the polar bears!
Last week it was the turn of Frank Hughes, who runs a small scaffolding hire company. The inspector asked him how he disposes of his waste.

Frank said he doesn't. He explained that scaffolding is a relatively simple business which doesn't generate waste.

But you must eat lunch, the inspector retaliated. I bring sandwiches, Frank told him. And before you ask, I take the wrapping home with me.

In which case, you're breaking the law, the jobsworth informed him. Sandwich wrappings are classified as industrial waste within the meaning of the Act. You need a licence to dispose of them.

And since you don't have one, you are committing a criminal offence. Frank would be hearing from the litigation department in connection with this heinous crime and could expect a minimum fine of £300.
Like I keep saying, if liberals ever deny the existence of vampires, start sharpening the fence posts. Liberals have spent years denying that this sort of thing happens, but here it is. Now suddenly it turns out they were lying just like us loonies always said they were.

Ditto, I'm sure the local authority will generously drop the case (now they've been exposed) but I'm equally sure that no one will lose their job over this. Let's stop the tape here: these people tried to extract money out of someone on bogus grounds. Isn't that kind of illegal? Equally, even if it doesn't rise to the level of a felony, shouldn't people who claim they can our spend our money better than us be setting the bar just a little higher than 'not technically breaking the law'?

Question D'Jour

As so often with cases like this, I've got to ask: what exactly is the risk from unregulated clown activity?

What If Someone Breaks In To Flytip In The Kitchen?

As I understand the left's latest big idea, we'll have informers on every block reporting to council wardens with the power to dispense instant fines. What could go wrong?

More to the point though, doesn't this kind of chip away at the left's arguments against self-defence? After all, these people have spent years waxing pious about the dangers of people 'taking the law into their own hands'. That position was at least internally consistent just as long as leftists could contrast professional police officers with our own lumpy, dumpy selves, but now the law is in the hands of semi-literate council thugs and bitter curtain-twitchers, it doesn't even make sense on its own terms.

The liberal position is that the nation's households are full of folks going to bed every night desperately hoping someone will break in so they can torture him to death but giving the same people special informers hotlines or council uniforms will turn them into disinterested servants of justice. Huh?

It'd Take A Heart Of Stone Not To Laugh

Let's not be too harsh about this - it may just be that his handles his personal financial dealings like he handled his city's ones. He probably invested it all in Zimbabwe.

Dhimmis D'Jour: Supporting of the Troops Edition

Gosh, who can this mysterious 'minority group' be? I'd take all this whining about Islamophobia more seriously if the vast majoirty of peaceful bombers Muslims didn't react like Linda Blair in 'The Exorcist' every time someone showed support for their fellow countrymen rather than head chopping loons.

The MSM: Even Sleazier Than We Thought

I realise pretty much everyone reads Laban anyway, but there may be some folks who didn't catch an incredible quote over over there a few days ago:
Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council - Tameside holds regular meetings with local newspaper editors to gather information and stop sensationalist reporting which might otherwise start or add to rising tensions, e.g. in response to a Kick Racism out of Football campaign, an extremist political group wanted to picket a local football stadium. A local newspaper was going to print the story on its front page – an action that was likely to bring unwanted publicity to the picket and fuel rising community tensions. The intervention of the Community Cohesion Partnership prevented the story from being run and in the event no-one turned out for the picket.

Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough Council - The Berwick Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) is working with the local press/media to vet stories involving migrant workers from eastern Europe and Portugal employed in the food processing and agricultural sectors to prevent stigmatisation.
No room for misquote there. Government officials are scrutinising the media's output to prevent reporting of the wrong truth.

If nothing else, I hope folks in Tameside and Berwick aren't paying full price for their newspapers. After all, they're only getting half the news. But where are the usual suspects ? Amnesia Intentional ? Libertard ? Human Wrongs Watch ? These folks have spent years talking about the looming night of fascism, but now we have state functionaries defining what can and can't be reported, that's apparently not oppressive at all.

I guess this is what leftists mean when they talk about the Blogosphere being used for irresponsible rumour-mongering: people reporting stuff what happened without proper authorisation from the authorities.

Shakedown D'Jour

Classic rent-seeking going on. They're too shameless even to try and come up with some blather about the need to cover the costs of the process. Nope, they just come out and admit their real motives:
The officials behind the scheme justify it by saying the money is needed to maintain public transport and roads.
Yep, not even the pretence that there's any relation between the charge and the planning process. They're taking people's money for the same reason the dog licks it's own nads: because they can.

And who's behind this scheme ? Well, it's like this:
The 'bedroom tax' has been brought in under laws which allow councils to ask for money from developers such as supermarkets in return for granting them planning permission.

In Purbeck, which is run by a minority Tory group, those building home extensions are considered developers and will be asked for £993 for each room that can be used as a bedroom.
Truly, they have learned well from the teachings of Ayatollah Khameron.

More Fun With The Talibin

The council wants to increase fixed penalties from £50 to £110 for those who put bins out early, fail to recycle, overfill wheelie bins or put the wrong rubbish in the wrong containers.

They are asking each household to nominate one person as responsible so it will be easier for them to prosecute without having to prove who put out the offending bins.

The council is also considering interviewing suspected bin offenders under caution in procedures similar to the way police question criminals.

The draft letter, which has been seen by opposition councilors, also asks how many people live at each address, whether they have any medical conditions and if their families use disposable nappies.
So, nothing objectionable there then. Just consider what it says about modern Britain that someone can use the phrase 'suspected bin offenders' outside the field of comedy.

Apparently, householders aren't part of the solution, not part of the problem. Ditto, don't expect the civil libertards to rouse themselves. The only way Liberty and the rest of the freaks would ever take an interest is if terrorists are hiding in the bin. Until then, Mi Bin, Su Bin.

And now the punch-line:
Officials from the Conservative-run council hope the information sent back by families will make it easier to prosecute or impose fixed penalties.
Yep, it's Dave's Happy, Fun Party that's doing all this.

Tories: this is why we question your party's bona fides.

They Can't Pick Up Rubbish, But They Can Build Succesful Retail Developments

Actually, I'm thinking this could be anywhere in modern Britain. People talk about the advantages of out of town centres in terms of parking, longer hours and the like, but they're all just aspects of the one big difference. Out of town stores are built by retail professionals, while town centres are left to the tender mercies of semi-literate sleazes playing lego with real buildings.
