That's the flip side of it: globalists keep telling us we need to embrace other cultures, but we're not supposed to point out that said cultures frequently produce hellholes, objectively worse by every possible metric.

The Mighty Ann Coulter reports on last Friday's shootings in a New York hospital and you'll be shocked to hear just why the MSM told us more about the gun used than the actual killer.

Of course, when I say 'shocked' I mean for certain values of 'shocked', obviously. Clue Number Two was the absence of pretentious MSM think pieces about what these shootings say about Trump's America. Or, indeed, any reporting at all after the first six hours.

You need to read Ann to find out what's really going on:

There are mental illness shootings, gangland shootings, still-angry-about-the-divorce shootings and so on. Some immigrant murderers are mentally ill or criminals -- thanks to our excellent and extremely rigorous vetting system! But there are enough like Mr. Obotetukudo to qualify as their own category: the Disappointed Immigrant mass shootings.

The usual elements are: 1) immigrants from wildly different cultures, who have 2) unrealistic expectations about what their lives should be like in the U.S., combined with 3) an inability to achieve success in the U.S., and 4) a failure to grasp our customs -- often, even our language, typically marked by 5) a particular rage at women.

The same way girls from the Midwest come to New York City expecting to live like Carrie Bradshaw in "Sex and the City" (she was paying $700 a month for a $2,700 per month apartment, plus $40,000 on shoes), some immigrants seem to expect their lives in the U.S. to be like something out of "Dynasty."

And if all that is starting to sound a little familiar, here's the next line:

Zut alors! An entitled immigrant who believes it's his right to live in some of the world's priciest property, despite being completely incapable of paying for it himself? Who'd believe such a thing?

Expect the BBC to run a sob sister documentary on this guy in the next few months. 

Meanwhile, closer to home, the left has been so convinced that the Grenfell residents are the baby seals to end all baby seals, that they've lost all contact with reality. The left has managed to throw away any political capital they might have gained by filling the airwaves 24/7 with illegal immigrants raging in broken English about how angry they are that they might have to move to Camden or Hackney.

Seems like only last week liberal artistocrats were whining and yammering about The Diversity!

Hang on... it was last week.

But a week's a long time in politics the completely non-partisan pursuit of truth and beauty, and so now they're shocked - shocked! - anyone could accuse them of being obsessed with The Diversity!

So for those of you keeping score at home, the Tories are bad for diverting money from the arts to dealing with real issues, but Queen Liz blowing the budget on hiring m'learned friends to harass journalists is just good sense.

But anyway, it turns out that the artistocrats pay neither too much or too little attention to diversity, they pay just the right amount, and you better believe it or else.

All of which shows why 'Respectable Conservatism' is such a waste of time. Last week liberals were sliming conservatives for not buying into their jibber-jabber about diversity, now they're attacking conservatives for calling their sliming what it is. In other words, if conservatives refuse to let liberals smear them as really huge raycists, then that proves they're even more raycist. There's literally no right answer.

As long as conservatives accept the right of liberals to set the terms of debate, there's no way to win. As it is, even a snooty uber-squelch like Letts has managed a more full throated condemnation of these liberal parasites than almost anyone in the Tory Party has managed for years.

Diversity Is Our...... No, Wait! That Was Last Week

This is a great post, but one point that's really worth hammering home is this: didn't diversity used to be a good thing?

Liberals demand that every culture, fragment of a culture, or just plain train wreck blob of social pathology is to be celebrated as a vital part of the cultural ecosystem. Meanwhile, when it comes to actual cultures, like, say, Italian culture... Nope: violent insanity is hailed as proof of aufenticity! in the inner cities, but this whole 'Italy' thing is clearly just a fraud by people who want to hold back the proper development of Euroregion 16 (although it may also be true that the EU feels threatened by the example of a nation that managed to run a real European government without needing twenty squillon bureaucrats).

Equally, the very things liberals claim are ludicrous when used in a British context turn out to make perfect sense when the EU does it. The same people who squeal like stuck pigs when asked to teach British history are pefectly OK even with the most Frankensteinian attempts to create a European identity. Except, y'know, it really is true that Britain spent decades and billions of pounds defeating the global slave trade, but no one in the Normandy beachhead ever thought of themselves as fighting in a European Civil War (not least the C********* and Them Who Shall Not Be Credited Ever).

For that matter, in so far as there is any kind of common European culture, the EU is the antithesis of it. After all, we have approximately 2,500 years of evidence as to what works and what doesn't, and the EU is definitely in column 'B'. In so far as the EU can claim any kind of descent from European traditions, they're ones actual Europeans were glad to drop at the first opportunity.

Still, while the NSS campaigns for the comforting of the sick and dying to be carried out only where said comforting can be demonstrated to show observable improvements in the degree of comfortage, I can't help feeling they're missing a lot else.

When most people think of faith-based lunacy, they're probably not thinking of some Priest performing the last rites. Nope, they're probably thinking something like this.

I don't have the objective data to back this up, but I'm pretty sure these people are nuts. So where is the NSS? Nope - they're tied up staking out some OAPs bed, investigating a case of Class A Communion With Intent.

We may as well start the clock on just when Comment Is Futile will post an article claiming that this case shows that all of us who criticise social workers for persecuting the innocent are totally wrong.

Well, no. There's the obvious point that if these freaks didn't spend all their time tormenting respectable families with bogus abuse claims then they'd have the time to deal with real abuse, but there's more to it than that.

Don't be shocked, but it turns out that the victim in this case is a young black girl. Sort of like Victoria Climbié, Toni-Ann Byfield and Trycia Balhous, but with an Islamic angle as well this time.

What we have here is a perfect barometer of what really drives the activists in the (badly misnamed) 'child protection' industry. No one just snaps and starves their child to death. It's a long and hideous process, albeit apparently not long enough for social services to react in time. Nope, they were probably too busy probing the backsides of young children whose married, native, parents had taken them into hospital with a fever.

Above all else, social workers are driven by a hatred of traditional British values. That's why they'll go to almost any lengths - and employ any kind of junk science - to try and 'prove' traditional British families are guilty of abuse. On the other hand, any family that is sufficiently 'not British' gets a pass, no matter how dangerous, dysfunctional and outright sadistic. As this case proves, there is nothing these families can do that will provoke social workers to 'impose western values' on them.

Truly, the greatest achievement of modern liberalism is to render the reductio ad absurdum obsolete. There is simply nothing so absurd that liberals won't suggest it as serious policy.

Look at the way liberals demand that we respect the faith of other cultures, irrespective of how violently insane the tenets of that faith may be. How many folks on the right have pointed out that if mere slaughter is no reason to bring a religion into disrepute, then surely that means we have to respect...
