Best Headline Evah?

This story probably says something profound about modern Britain, but my mind's gone too blank to work out what.

A suspended sentence for attempted murder..? Even though the liklihood of these killing an adult is vanishingly small?

And the defence brief wasn't really trying, was he? "Philip Barnes, defending, said: 'He does not offer any excuse for his behaviour. The defendant was given the food in question as a thank you but brought the curry round, because of his own illness he was unable to eat it." He just tried it and thought, 'Ooh, too much cumin, it needs something to balance it out...', I suppose?

English justice; a total laughing stock, and everyone knows it...

The devil's in the detail, too...

"Miss Sales, an HGV driver, and Miss Walton, a full-time mother,"

"their eight-year-old son"

How does that work, then?
