Just In Case You Ever Though PC Was Class War By Other Means...

How very dare a mere serf not treat the death of the Greatest Man Ever with the correct degree of respect!

Clearly they need a lesson in decorum from their betters!

I guess we'll have to file this under 'If Nigel Farage Had Done This...'

At Least Astrologers Don't Have A Body Count

It's another great day for the Rehab Industry:
A serial rapist who tied his girlfriend's housemate to a bed before killing her and dismembering her body was today sentenced to serve at least 37 years in prison...
The court heard how Sharp was allowed back on to the streets after multiple convictions for sex crimes stretching back 30 years, despite telling parole officers he fantasised about raping and killing women.
Oh, what does he know? He's probably just another tabloid-reading goon who didn't even go to Oxbridge.

Seriously though, if even the predator himself admitting to planning his next crime doesn't ring any alarm bells, this does kind of blow the whole 'carefully monitored'  thing out of the water. If nothing else, I think we need a benchmark here, we need to be told just what would have made Dr Julian Rubbish and his pals act.

Naaah. Just kidding. Nothing would have made these guys sound the alarm. It's the fundamental calculus of the Rehab Industry. They claim to be 100% successful and when an inconvenient body or two turn up, they go the class war route and try to claim all their critics are lager-poisoned Jeremy Kyle viewers who just don't appreciate the subtle genius required to consistently free maniacs to strike again.

There is no better measure of how utterly liberalism has triumphed over socialism than that such a frank appeal to snobbery is considered a winning argument for the left.

A vote of thanks too for the feminists. They're outraged that anyone would suggest that getting wasted then walking through the city alone at 2:00 AM isn't such a great move, but the courts setting perverts loose to strike again?

Cat got you tongue, ladies?

Truly, they are the Stepford Wives of the left.

The Rich Aren't Enriched

Who'd have thunk it? The Celebutrash have abandoned our nation's vibrant capital for the boringly monochorme countryside. What can it all mean?

That Ferry Has Already Sailed Jenny........

Via Julie, we find out that leftists in Liverpool are playing the Scouse nationalism card.

Hey, it's like they've never heard of Luciana Berger. Who she? The beyond Cameronesque rich kid who was parachuted into a Liverpool constituency despite not knowing much of anything about the place she supposedly represents - although, on the plus side, her defence that you can't ask a girl a football question at least means Andy Gray's got one supporter in the house.

In fact, she hadn't even been elected before she started giving the finger to the Scouse trash - and folks like Jenny sucked it up and said 'please sir, can I have some more'?

Pretty much the defining feature of a proud and self-confident peoples is that they don't accept being treated as latter-day rotten boroughs by rich families in the capital. In so far as Jenny and pals have no issues with this, they're in no position to lecture anyone else about pride.

....

Oh, and by the way, here's a question for Jenny and the rest of her 'proud Scouser' friends: if the Army was full of people from Hampstead and Dibden Purlieu, would the Guardian still be as keen on its 'All War Crimes, All The Time' coverage?

The Rich Are Different

Curiously, despite the conviction of Fireman Ed aka The Other Rich Marxist Twerp Called Ed, the MSM has not spent the day reminding us about every time a Labour MP referred to 'fighting fire with fire'.

Of course, this case is difficult for the usual suspects for other reasons. They've spent years telling us poverty causes crime, but now it turns out that it's poor little rich kids who are the biggest victims of all. How else to explain the court's desperate bending over backwards to avoid the obvious?
[Judge Geoffrey Rivlin QC] also praised the teenager's mother for encouraging him to give himself up to police after he was pictured by media organisations during the rioting.
Yes, indeed: after having his picture plastered over every newstand in the country for five days, she encouraged him to turn himself in, as opposed to disappearing into Sherwood Forest and living off nuts and berries, presumably.

A vote of thanks also to his class mates, teachers and fellow residents of the Dibden Purlieu millionaire's sink estate, all of who were perfectly happy to spend five days not reporting that they had a thug in their midst. We're just lucky Dibden Purlieu isn't in Liverpool, otherwise Richard Littlejohn would get his next 15 columns out of this case.

Not that I want to inject a class war theme into this - I'll leave that to the judge:
The judge said: "It is deeply regrettable, indeed a shocking thing, for a court to have sentence a young man such as you to a substantial term of custody.
It's shocking to sentence a violent thug to custody? Isn't that kind of the point of the whole 'courts' thing? And no, it's not a substantial term by any kind of historic or global standard.
The judge also said he took into account the defendant's age, his guilty plea at the earliest opportunity and the fact that he had no previous convictions.
Yes, he pleaded guilty after his crime was shown live on national TV.

I'm more sympathetic to the age thing though. After all, there's plenty of 18 year olds so juvenile and irresponsible, they're still busy playing in the sand pit.

I guess we need to update that scorecard again: abortion without parental notification is fine for 12 year olds, but 18 is too young to be held responsible for their actions? Best stop them doing anything dangerous like drinking, driving or voting then, right? Or, at least, just the ones who don't realise that throwing things off a tall building 'potentially endangered people' (although the fact this guy was hoping to go to Uni in the first place does kind of suggest that funding isn't the biggest problem in Academia right now).

And if that's not enough, there's this:
Before sentencing, the judge retired for 15 minutes and Woollard, who has 10 GCSEs, was given a chance to speak to his relatives.
They probably do the same in Newcastle Crown Court, right? Right after they've heard the guilty party explain that he wasn't aiming a bottle at someone's head, he was aiming it with their head.

All of which is by way of saying enough about the Underclass already. Not that we don't have a barrel load of chav scum, but the fish rots from the head. As long as folks like the repulsive Woolard clan, people who've had every advantage in life, are prepared to try and cheat justice, and the courts are prepared to let them, why should anyone else respect the law?

The Greatest Moment In The History Of British Conservatism

What could be more conservative than a bunch of millionaires urging everyone else to give their money away?

Some of the old aristocracy might have been tools, but at least we didn't have to put up with Dukes complaining that the kitchen maids were too tight-fisted.

The Raoul Moat of Chelsea

Old and Busted: Barrister Mark Saunders was murdered by a police death squad for no reason at all.

The New Hotness: OK, maybe he was a violent drunk with a loaded weapon, but cops still suck

See, it's true - the rich are different. If this case had happened on a sink estate in Liverpool or Glasgow, he'd be 'Mark, who'? If only Raoul Moat had some blue blood, the press would be covering his musical choices too.

Admittedly, there is a certain entertainment to be had in listening to the full range of chav scum clichés being trotted out by a bunch of pampered Metropolitan snobs, but screechy entitlement isn't attractive in any accent More to the point, after months of industrial-scale sliming by Saunder's charming family, we now find out that the Five-oh tried all but witch craft to avoid one of DI Drake's 'fatal outcomes'.

Then again, the rich might be different, but cop haters are all the same. They've got a new line of attack: they might not be able to actually prove the cops did anything wrong, but they should be allowed to slime individual officers anyway.

Actually, it's even better than that:
It's a cliche, but it is true: justice needs to be done and it needs to be seen to be done
Hello? We're having a whole inquest right here. We know exactly what everyone of the cops was doing during the siege.

It's precisely because the cop-hating freaks have come up empty that they now need to resort to trying to find out if Officer Brown is into the gay BDSM scene, Officer Smith has a cousin in jail or Officer Anderson's ex-wife thinks he's an absolute scumbag.

So for those of you keeping score at home: revealing the identities of convicted paedophiles in a given area leads to mob rule, but revealing the identities of police officers is a vital pillar of democracy.

Meanwhile, does this work both ways? In the spirit of openness, shouldn't activist weenies like Graef be forced to account for themselves? I don't have any solid 'evidence' that this guy has sex with farmyard animals, but I think his failure to account for his every waking minute over the last twenty years speaks for itself, right?

As it happens, it's a vital feature of not just British law, but all civilised jurisdictions, that you can only be charged with a specific crime, at a specific time. You can't be charged with being the type of dubious character who probably commits some kind of crime or other. To the point, Roger 'chicken shagger' Graef's sleazy suggestion that justice requires the personal lives of private citizens to be torn apart isn't just absurd, it's entirely lawless. The police officers concerned were either acting lawfully in this particular incident, or they were not, and no amount of shady sex games in their past will change that.

Still, I'm getting the hen humper's not really a guy for those tricky 'guilty/innocent' distinctions. In fact, I'm kind of seeing a theme running through his whole article:
These officers need to be held accountable - by name
Hey, isn't it strange how it's always the right-on libs who are ready to throw the whole 'due process' thing overboard when they want to victimise someone?

No, not really. Liberals are scum. What was I thinking?

Anyway, back to Rogering the livestock Graef:
The Government proposes to expand the use of restorative justice, in which offenders and victims meet to discuss the impact of the crime far beyond the rules of court....

In the case of this inquest, they should meet the friends and family of Mark Saunders and explain to them what they did and why they behaved as they did - and, most of all, hear first- hand the impact their actions have had.
Do you see what he did there? Not only have the officers concerned not been so much as charged with any offences, the repulsive Saunders clan are only victims in so far as one of their number suffered from the delusion that their power and privilege extended so far as to allow him to aim a loaded weapon at a police officer without consequences.

All of which means this is bunk:
Lawyers have always worried about such meetings, arguing that the police might feel obliged to apologise - and thereby open themselves up to litigation.

But I believe there should be qualified apologies, in which legal liability is set aside.
Apologise for what exactly? Exercising their common law right as citizens to use reasonable force to protect themselves? That's all they did - no magic police powers required. If a maniac points a loaded shotgun at you, you're quite within your rights to shoot them with your pistol - or, at least you could if you had a pistol, but somehow I don't see the left using this case to push 'concealed carry'.

Still and all, our friend from the hen house does a fine job of summing up the fraudulent nature of all the left's talk of justice. Their definition of justice is simply a vision of the courts as another venue to pursue class enemies. If the courts can't perform, then mob rule and smears will do just  fine.

Wasn't That The Point?

Laban does a compare and contrast on two Seventies icons, and finds the one with the silver spoon upbringing escaped more or less intact, while the Ordinary Jolene sank. And?

Half the point of the counter-culture was for rich kids to ram home their status by showing how it insulated them from the consequences of behaviours that would be disastrous for normal people. Drug addiction, single parenthood and voting Labour are all perfect examples of the destructive lunacy these people proselytised, even as they used their money to go into plush rehab units, hire nannies or move to Devon.

It was the nylon bell-bottom wearing equivalent of all those trustafarians who denounce cheap flights today. Another way to embrace all the worst aspects of leftism, while still being able to sneer at the lower orders.

Nazis, Nazis Everywhere!

You'll miss this type of quality reporting when the BBC is gone! As a matter of interest, does anything out there not remind them of Nazis? Well, apart from a totalitarian cult that wants to take over the world and exterminate the Jews - that's just pure coincidence.

But let's not let the superficial idiocy hide the deeper stupid. A shocking BBC report finds pedigree dogs are frequently unhealthy? Who knew? Well, apart from everyone, obviously.

Yes, a narrow gene pool can lead to weird mutations spreading through the general population, but this is GCSE science. Ditto, breed standards are frequently weird and unnatural. Take the slopping back of the German Sheperd - or rather don't, it should be straight, and the quest for bent back dogs has lead to endemic hip problems in the breed. Both issues - and does the BBC even know the difference between the two - are well known.

But even that's not it. What's the BBC accusing dog breeders of? They only select from a tiny pool and insist on criteria that totally screw up the ability to perform even basic functions? Hmmmmm... I believe the phrase that pays is something about 'motes and beams'.

Liberals Proven Wrong On War Shocka!

Apparently, killing terrorists doesn't create new terrorists after all. If it did, Al Quida's Iraq franchise would be knee-deep in new recruits right about now, instead of having to recruit from the truly desperate demographic.

The Classy Left (Part 4628)

Here's the Guardian on the Conrad Black trial:
This ladies and gentlemen, is what a Get Out of Jail Free card looks like in human form. Consider Alana Black, daughter of beleaguered media tycoon Conrad. Did you know he had a daughter? Nope, me neither, but here she is, being wheeled out, in what her dad must hope is the nick of time. Barbara Amiel’s efforts in the court audience haven’t quite reflected so well on Conrad, as is often the way when an accused’s spouse is present. She might have muted her usual haute - couture tendencies into boring brown suits, but her fondness for shouting at journalists hasn’t really given her husband the required respectable image. So now Alana is pushed forth, and very well she’s doing too: the pencil skirt and blouse are elegant, but not obnoxiously so, and the beaded necklace doesn’t rub her and her father’s wealth in the jurors’ faces in the same way as Amiel’s Hermes bags do. And that hair ! ‘Come on,’ it all but shrieks. ‘No man accused of fraud could possibly have fathered such angelic locks, surely
Or, you know, it could just be that she's a daughter supporting her father in his - literal - time of trial. What exactly is the point of the Guardian's snark anyway ? That Alana Black is somehow underhand for not behaving like a Guardian stereotype of the evil rich ? Talk about a Catch 22. When the rich light huge cigars with £50 notes, they're scum, and when they don't, they're lying scum. I guess the only answer is to live the simple peasant life - just like the Guardian's editor does.
