The Existential Threat Of The Donald

Apparently, all it took was a successful summit meeting and suddenly The Golden Don has been transformed from Literally Hitler into Literally Chamberlain.

Don't be surprised if one of the left's more repellant groups rebrands itself the 'Start The War' coalition and Madonna and that tool from Coldplay get together to do a duet of 'Give War A Chance'.

Of course, it's just possible Lil' Kim has bamboozled the billionaire property developer, and only 20p a word liberal MSM writers are smart enough to see it, but how bad would it have to be for the deal to be worse than the Clinton era agreement?

Ah, yes: that would be the thing. For seventy years the Korean situation has been a running sore, now suddenly Donald Dumpf, Stupidest President Evah has made more progress than the whole of the foreign policy establishment, with all their fancy degrees from Georgetown U and their kill-me-now 50,000 word articles in Foreign Policy Snoot magazine.

There's a lesson in there somewhere.

Kosovo With Kamels

By my reckoning, the US has now dropped approximately a squillion times more explosive on Libya than Reagan ever did back in the day, without receiving any of the whining from the Usual Suspects.

Of course, Reagan was bombing hapless conscripts wandering round the desert while the Obamamessiah is trying to take out terrorist training camps and Ghaddafi himself...

Wait, that's not right.

Nope, our ever-egalitarian friends on the left are OK with incinerating teenagers but arranging explosive enemas for dictators is simply beyond the pale. That makes no sense, but that appears to be a common problem right now.

Liberals were shocked that President Bush didn't have an exit strategy for Iraq (except for the whole 'winning' thing) but now they've landed us in a war without any actual entry strategy. We've gone to war to support the rebels, but without the slightest idea who they are and what they're trying to do - it's the geo-political equivalent of voting Lib Dem. Meanwhile, the actual tactics appear to be modelled on the British justice system, with force being delivered to targets in exactly inverse proportion to their significance. Imagine the air campaign as the equivalent of those police forces that arrest vicars for hate speech while ignoring honour killings.

Of course, Colonel Ghaddafi has connections to terrorism, sort of like Minister of the Crown Martin McGuiness, and he doesn't enjoy the kind of popular support the guys roaming round eastern Libya with AK47s have. Indeed, polls show 100% of people in areas occupied by people with AK47s support the people with AK47s.

The whole charge sheet against Ghaddafi appears to boil down to the idea that he's being unduly harsh in his treatment of guys rampaging round with AK47s. He's carrying out atrocious atrocities, even though the MSM has had more luck trying to flush out casualties from global warming than a bona fide case of anything Saddam wouldn't do on a slow weekend.

The MSM need to bring back the old crew from Kosovo days - those guys knew how to run with a bogus atrocity story.

Like Rosa Parks, But With Child Rape

It's not just Fat Hari who's turned the Humbugomatic up to 11. Gaystapo founder member and all-round loon Peter Tatchell is leading the charge about supposed paedo-appeaser Pope Benny, except.... what's this?
Peter Tatchell...contributed a chapter to the now notorious, out of print book [The Betrayal of Youth: Radical Perspectives on Childhood Sexuality, Intergenrational Sex, and the Social Oppression of Young People.]. His statement in the text that "not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful"
In fact, the full quote is even worse:
[Tatchell] gave an example of a New Guinea tribe where ‘all young boys have sex with older warriors as part of their initiation into manhood’ and allegedly grow up to be ‘happy, well-adjusted husbands and fathers’.

And he concluded: ‘The positive nature of some child-adult sexual relationships is not confined to non-Western cultures. Several of my friends – gay and straight, male and female – had sex with adults from the ages of nine to 13. None feel they were abused. All say it was their conscious choice and gave them great joy.

‘While it may be impossible to condone paedophilia, it is time society acknowledged the truth that not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful.’
By the way, that was in 1997, but apparently being on record talking warmly about child molestation is no bar to becoming the leader of the gay movement. Watch out for those Catholics though!

Come to think, in so far as Weird Pete has campaigned to drop the age of consent to 14 and is known for committing illegal acts to protest what he claims are unjust laws, shouldn't he be supporting the paedo priests? Weren't they too, in their own way, protesting against unjust laws that criminalise their attempts to bring 'great joy' to young boys? And is anyone in the MSM ever going to ask him about this?

Revisiting The 'Despised Minority'...

If nothing else, the Pope's visit at least means we've now got liberals on record denouncing paedophiles.

Only Catholic ones though, the far higher rates of abuse by their fellow liberals in the care or education systems are just yawnerooney. It's all because of The Hypocrisy apparently.

Huh?

Isn't that kind of saying that, being liberals, you'd expect teachers and social workers to be filthy perverts?

Still, let's not let the generalised humbuggery of the left detract from the more specific humbuggery of individual liberals. Take Fatty Hari: he claims to be enraged by Catholic paedophilia, but can't get through the title of his piece without giving the game away.

Yep, those are his charges: the Pope supports child abuse and he says mean things about gays.

Hmmmm... not to give aid and comfort to the enemy, but someone should tell Fatty: if you're accusing someone of not taking child abuse seriously enough, you probably want to try not comparing child rape to voicing opposition to the gay agenda.

On the plus side, of course, at least the Pope never wrote this.

The Left's Bold New Policy: Surrender

Anyone remember that war liberals were so keen to fight they couldn't abide the thought of distracting ourselves by invading Iraq ? Well, a funny thing happened on the way to Kabul....
