Down in the comments to this post Lurker points out this case, where Asians 'yoofs' victimised...well, who knows? Apparently, they're Victims of No Appearance.

I guess it's a bit like the Ultimate Question & Answer in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where knowledge of one automatically precludes knowledge of the other in the same universe. I guess we have the Men of No Appearance, or we have Victims of No Appearance.

Of course, it goes without saying that Asian or not, to the MSM, they'll always be 'Men of No Affiliation'.

And that's as much info as the MSM is prepared to let us know about events in Cardiff. Other than that, we need to go to Standard Operating Procedure for Men of No Appearance related events, and start reading between the lines... like the BBC's reference to 'community leaders'... no doubt a reference to the Church of Christ the Delivery Guy. On the plus side, the BBC does reassure us that:

Guess we'll never know. At least it's just a series of hit and runs... despite what those nutters in the VRWC will try and convince you.

In one attack a couple pushing a pram were targeted and the baby was tossed into the air by the impact, landing several feet away. In another, the driver got out of the vehicle to club two men with a steering wheel lock at a petrol station forecourt before getting back into the van and driving off, running over two women over as he sped away.

Then again, that is from notorious right-wing rag, the Independent, so who knows? It's not like you can get a good look at a guy while he's beating two blokes senseless on a station forecourt. If only there was some way of recording what happened then playing it back at a later date...

Usual disclaimer follows: it could just a guy called David Jones, driven mad by the lousy weather, but after decades of brutal violence by members of the Men of No Appearance gang, I think we're entitled to be a little sceptical about reports of violence by 'men' (and that goes double where the MSM is trying to convince us that attacking guys with steering locks counts as a 'hit and run'). Either way, next time the MSM warns us about the threat to a free press from naughty old Brian Levenson, bear these reports in mind for an example of how the press deals with contentious issues right now.

I'm thinking Laban is becoming the master chronicler of MONA related events. He's just passed on news of clashes between the Men Of No Appearance and the Men Of Fabulous! Appearance.

Of course, we must treat such incidents with the seriousness they deserve:

On the other hand, who'd have thunk that the alliance between the Religion of Peace and the Religion of Getting A Piece would end badly? Well, yes, every rightist ever, but the gayers have spent years calling us fascists, so the sympathy buffer is kind of empty at the moment.

For sure, incidents like this, are a sign of the cultural death spiral in modern Britain, not only in terms of the thuggery itself, but also the reluctance to call it what it is. But few people are less qualified to complain about all this than you-know-who. Gayers have served proudly as shock troops in the liberals' war on British culture.

True, some would claim they were only against certain aspects of traditional British culture. At best, this position devolves down to a kind of cultural jenga, and the proposition that it's possible to hack away whole chunks of the underpinnings of British culture, while leaving the culture itself still in place.

More to the point though, whatever they claim to believe, the rest of their rhetoric makes clear these guys aren't just opposed to the family values, they hate the whole idea of people having values. That's why the same people who blather about The Homophobia, think blaming the spread of AIDS on Mrs Thatcher is a perfectly valid debating point.

The hysterical denunciations of those who support traditional values - let alone the open harassment - is just a symptom of the way the gay rights movement have fully bought into the left's cult of indiscriminateness. They're appalled that no one will take a stand against thuggery? Hey, they've spent years describing anyone who takes a stand for traditional values as a Naaaaaaaaaazi!!!!! Besides, who's to say that beating people up is wrong? Did the cat sit on the mat, or is it equally true to say that the mat sat on the cat? And what is this 'cat' thing anyway?

The gay rights movement bought fully into the left's core belief that the only truly moral position is no position at all. At the same time, they were perfectly happy to break bread with the Islamofascists when it came to denouncing Britain as the Worst Country Evah! It is only now, with our culture in ruins, that these people have suddenly realised that there really are worse cultures out there after all.

They Weren't Sensitive This Time

Yes, I'm sure suicide is an extreme reaction, but that's the thing - the police's carpet bombing approach makes it inevitable that vulnerable people like this will be caught up in one of their muscle-flexing exercises in low-level thuggery. Bottom line: if the victim had topped himself shortly after being beaten senseless by freelance thugs, no one would blink at connecting these two events, so why the reluctance now?

Yes, the police have to investigate complaints - even ones made by loonies - except they clearly didn't actually do any investigating here. There was never the slightest evidence against the victim, excepting the testimony of a known nutcase, but that was enough for these thugs to destroy a man's life.

Incidentally, even if you're an uber-authoritarian this should still worry you. These people are paid to prevent and detect crime, yet it now turns out that they're really spending their time giving random Chinese guys a hard time. Forget the specifics, these guys were given public money to do a job, but instead they were busy dealing with bogus make-work. How exactly is this different from dodgy builders who knock on the door to tell 80 year olds they've got some slates missing?

Back in the day, this would have been the point where I'd have written 2000 words on how the obsession with harassment of the innocent was both the perfect mirror-image of the left's belief that actual criminals were just citizens exploring an alternative lifestyle, and the natural result of their goal of decoupling the law from morality, in favour of law as the arbitrary exercise of state power. But that was then, and this is now, so instead I'll leave it to Ayn:

No, Femiloons Don't Oppose Rape Actually

Femiloons are enraged... actually, that's pretty much goes without saying. This time, they're specifically enraged! by coalition moves towards sexual equality.

What? Of course that's a fair summary. Hey, if the local council paying someone who does manual labour out in all weathers more than someone who does clerical work in a climate controlled office is The Sexism! (more women work inside than men, see), it surely is discriminatory for the courts to extend privileges to a mostly female demographic while denying them to a mostly male one.

Even back on Earth, it's hard to see what their problem is... Well, actually, it's perfectly easy to see what their problem is. As befits a bunch of bigoted nutcases, they truly believe that one of the lower orders offending a female in and off itself should be actionable. Unfortunately, that's proving to be a tough sale, so instead they claim they're really concerned about rape, and since all men are rapists, well, work it out for yourself....

Or get a man to do it, then claim you totally could have done it yourself if you weren't so oppressed.

The thing is though, if they really opposed rape, they'd be concentrating at least some of their fire on a demographic that really do commit a lot of rapes, namely rapists, but that never seems to happen.

This case is interesting for two reasons, firstly the sighting of the rare, but increasingly common, Victims of No Appearance. I guess it's further evidence for my Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy theory that knowledge of the offender automatically precludes knowledge of the victim and vice versa.

The other thing that's remarkable though is the sentence, or lack thereof:

I know what you're thinking: indefinite, huh? Sounds about right, throw the key away.

Except, in the Bizarro world of the courts, indefinite turns out to be kind of definite, after all:

Just what do they think's going to happen in the next nine years to make this scumbag a worthwhile member of society? A visit from the Sociopathy Fairy? Or is it just another case of a headline-grabbing tough sentence that turns out to be pure leftist spin (meanwhile, apparently it's the right that's 'politicising the courts').

Here's a guy who's the worst of the worst. If femiloons were really opposed to rape, they'd want to make sure guys like this got meaningful sentences. Instead, a degenerate predator has got a slap on the wrist and providing he can face the terrible ordeal of a tribunal made up of the self-same type of liberal snivellers who refused to give him a proper sentence in the first place, he'll soon be back on the streets with years of active raping ahead of him. And the femiloons?

Does the ladder of victimhood really exist ? Consider that the BBC's employment of ex-Sun editor Kelvin Mackenzie as a pundit is under fire, not because he's a known fraud who was the main player in smearing nearly a hundred dead civilians, many of them children. Nope, libs are down with that, it's just claiming the People's Republic of Caledonia isn't much of a place for business they can't stand.

Still, I can't help thinking that they may just have found the only bad reason to criticise Mackenzie. Consider the basic chutzpah of it all. These people keep quoting William Wallace's line about England being a land foreign to them, but now a foreigner in the aforementioned foreign land has spoken out against them, they claim the right to impose their views of permitted speech on this foreign land. Huh ?

At risk of stating the obvious, Mackenzie is a pundit known for extreme rhetoric, while the SNP is an successful Scottish political party that doesn't so much have a platform as a series of unhinged conspiracy theories - I'm thinking Scottish claims to victimhood will have to wait until being a semi-literate anti-English bigot is no longer considered a plus point with the Scottish electorate.

Ironically enough, nothing makes Mackenzie's point like the reaction to his appearance. Scots trundle along to the polling station to vote for a bunch of Neanderthal racists, but cast themselves as victims when someone points out the blindingly obvious point that socialism doesn't exactly encourage the entrepreneurial spirit. See, that's the other knock on socialism: it's turned a bunch of hard-drinking sociopaths into whiny girly men.
