Down in the comments to this post Lurker points out this case, where Asians 'yoofs' victimised...well, who knows? Apparently, they're Victims of No Appearance.

I guess it's a bit like the Ultimate Question & Answer in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where knowledge of one automatically precludes knowledge of the other in the same universe. I guess we have the Men of No Appearance, or we have Victims of No Appearance.

Of course, it goes without saying that Asian or not, to the MSM, they'll always be 'Men of No Affiliation'.

The Double-Spaced Media

While liberals try and convince us all that screaming 'Allah Ackbar' while gunning down Infidels is hardly proof of religious motivations (Winner of 'Best in Show' here), the Daily Mail takes time out to remind us of the MSM's previous personal best: the Case of the Angry, White, Male Sniper.

Barring some last-minute stay of execution, at 9.30pm, John Allen Muhammad will be killed by lethal injection at a prison in Virginia, closing the book on one of the most nightmarish and perplexing episodes in American criminal history...

Yet one question remains unanswered: why did Muhammad do it?

Yes, it certainly is a mystery all right. After all, consider who the sniper was:

A Muslim convert who last year discarded the name "Williams" and adopted a new identity as "Muhammad". A Muslim convert called Muhammad who publicly expressed his approval of al-Qaeda's September 11 attacks. A pro-al-Qaeda Muslim convert called Muhammad who marked the first anniversary of 9/11, to the exact minute, by visiting the Department of Motor Vehicles in Camden, New Jersey. Two minutes after he left the building, the cops arrived to deal with a mysterious bomb scare.

Then there's this:

Hmmm... back when I first pointed out how the BBC was refusing to cover the full story behind the murder of Robert Knox, the usual suspects in the comments at B-BBC claimed that, gosh darn it, the BBC's crack newshounds were chomping at the bit to report the full story, but they were hog-tied by the fact the trial was on-going.

Never mind that - to take but two cases - Anthony Walker was barely cold before the BBC labelled his death racially-motivated, nor that for weeks after the shooting of Rhys Jones, you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing Beeboids speculating about the role of gang culture. That was different.

Well, Beeboids, I got some good news for you: it's over! So have at it. Time for the reporters to start checking out the word on the street, putting the story in context, running down leads... y'know, all that stuff journalists do

The MSM: Even Sleazier Than We Thought

I realise pretty much everyone reads Laban anyway, but there may be some folks who didn't catch an incredible quote over over there a few days ago:

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council - Tameside holds regular meetings with local newspaper editors to gather information and stop sensationalist reporting which might otherwise start or add to rising tensions, e.g. in response to a Kick Racism out of Football campaign, an extremist political group wanted to picket a local football stadium. A local newspaper was going to print the story on its front page – an action that was likely to bring unwanted publicity to the picket and fuel rising community tensions. The intervention of the Community Cohesion Partnership prevented the story from being run and in the event no-one turned out for the picket.

Berwick-upon-Tweed Borough Council - The Berwick Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP) is working with the local press/media to vet stories involving migrant workers from eastern Europe and Portugal employed in the food processing and agricultural sectors to prevent stigmatisation.

No room for misquote there. Government officials are scrutinising the media's output to prevent reporting of the wrong truth.

If nothing else, I hope folks in Tameside and Berwick aren't paying full price for their newspapers. After all, they're only getting half the news. But where are the usual suspects ? Amnesia Intentional ? Libertard ? Human Wrongs Watch ? These folks have spent years talking about the looming night of fascism, but now we have state functionaries defining what can and can't be reported, that's apparently not oppressive at all.

I guess this is what leftists mean when they talk about the Blogosphere being used for irresponsible rumour-mongering: people reporting stuff what happened without proper authorisation from the authorities.
