While I’m grateful to the Mail for the unnerving revelation that mullets are halal I can’t help wondering if (a background possibly practicing cousin marriage aside) this chap wasn’t actually being rather intelligent when he suggested to the police his brutality was in self-defence. After all, the Babylon have a great deal of recent form for arresting and charging the victims. Maybe he was really thinking it was worth a go, rather than ‘flowers are pretty,’ and ‘time for a little something.’
