I'm thinking this case is the perfect microcosm of the difference between left and right.

Yes, indeed, HSBC were their usual sleazy selves, and it's disgraceful that their senior management have managed to avoid disbarment for conduct that would have got a small town IFA strung up, but at least they've faced some consequences.

Meanwhile, the supposed charidees wot exist to help the helpless? Ah yes: they traded on their (undeservedly) good reputations to lead the marks into the lion's den, and they've got away with the cash, their reputations intact and in all probability a press release ready to go asking for the government to give them a grant to help protect their clients from predatory capitalist pig dogs.

The only real surprise is that there are still people on the right prepared to treat these people as anything other than the leftist kooks they indisputably are.

Of course it's all bait and switch. These freaks don't really want to write off the progeny of the worthwhileness-impaired and the morally-dyslexic, they just want to put the blame for the inevitable train wreck right onto you. We're not spending enough on penguins, see.

Feral Liberals

First thing first: in so far as this piece of dreck is an overtly political attack on the British right, in what sense of the word does it count as 'charity'? Hey, maybe we'll take the left's call for higher taxes seriously once their own organisations stop claiming tax breaks on bogus grounds.

Good to see the left's still keeping to its usual standards of evidence too. 'Comments made on websites'. A-huh! This is Clue Number One right there. The left quotes stuff anonymous commentors say on websites, the right quotes stuff prominent leftists actually say in real life. Hell, find me anything on the right that's as hateful as this ad, to say nothing of the implicit racism and sexism in it.

Of course, this is Clue Two. The Yoof establishment has been under fire this past two weeks over the 'Baby P' fiasco. Meanwhile, the left fires back with warnings about pretendey pogroms. Actual sadistic torture and death presided over by liberals vs deranged fantasises about conservatives roaming the streets killing da yoof. Hmmmmmm.... guess we're going to need to go full auto if we're ever going to catch up with the social workers' kill rate.

Good point from Dan in the comments. What's with all this 'demonising children'? Sure, we criticise some of them - spookily enough, the criminally-inclined ones - but as a group? Key metric: find a conservative who denounces all children the way mainstream liberals use isolated incidents of misconduct to indict every cop in the country.

Talking of which, as the folks at Coppersblog would no doubt ask rhetorically, which demographic is it that the feral youth are most likely to victimise? Exactly. If these freaks were really interested in the 'yoof' rather than in pushing dysfunction, they'd be crying out for more 'demonisation' of the violent and depraved.

The Left Is Eating Itself (Part I)

FR brings news of further fraticide amongst the race hustling classes:

I'm with FR in having approximately zero sympathy for the folks being sued, but I don't have any for the claimant either. The guy was discriminated against because of his racial background ? Is he sure it wasn't just affirmative action ?

As a race hustler himself, this dude was down with discrimination when it was aimed at the natives, so it's way too late for him to come down with an attack of scruples now. Still, you have to enjoy this statement from the respondants:

Mr Tolani, also a trained solicitor, has vehemently denied the allegations. He described Mr Victory as a "gold digger" who was using "spurious and frivolous" accusations to get more money.

Yep, there's a lot of that going round....

Shelter: Helping Perverts Kill Since 1966

Lest anyone still be under the illusion that alleged homelessness charity 'Shelter' is anything other than a left-wing front group, consider their role in helping convicted rapist Michael Clark stalk and kill a young girl.

Officials had tried to turn down the registered sex offender's request to move 40 miles away to Leeds, but they were forced to back down after representations from the homeless charity Shelter.

The organisation warned the council it was breaking the law by not letting 40-year-old Clark, as a "homeless" person, jump to the top of the housing queue.

No room for misquote there. Shelter - a 'homelessness charidee' remember - pitched in to help a guy who already had a house, but just wanted to move somewhere else. Not only that, but they even helped him get priority status for his free house. Say, do they do that for everyone, or is it just a special service for sexual predators ?

That's the key point here. Not only were Shelter aware that they were pitching in to help a violent pervert, they actually knew his objective was to move to somewhere where he could pass as Joe Citizen. Next thing you know, he's using his new found respectability to stalk and kill a young girl. Who'd have thunk it ?

If a private company had behaved like this, liberals would be demanding the execution of the board, but we're talking about our classy liberal friends, so they offer this instead:

Shelter last night blamed the council for allowing the Zommers to live near Clark...

"Questions need to be asked as to why this young girl and her family were housed next to a known sex offender."

Yep, liberals use legal chicanery to allow predators to set themselves up in a fresh hunting ground, and it's everyone else's fault for allowing prey into the area.

As ever, a vote of thanks too to you-know-who. A group of moral cripples have enabled a sadistic savage to kill an innocent young girl, but no one's answering the phones at Femiloon Central. I guess this whole 'zero tolerance' deal works purely in the abstract.

Bill Clinton's new bestseller on charity is called "Giving" – because it's better to give than to receive, and that's certainly true if the giver is busying himself with some ineffectual feel-good "Save Darfur" fundraiser while the recipient is on the receiving end of the Janjaweed's machetes. The Sudanese government appreciates that, as long as we're allowed to feel good about ourselves and to participate in "humanitarian relief," the killing can go on until there's no one left to kill.
